Professional Experience
Applicants must have been performing professionally in the voice industry for at least two years. South African entrants must have worked professionally within the South African industry for a period longer than the official entry window.
International entrants must also have at least two years of professional experience within their home country or another recognised market. The experience requirement ensures that the awards assess artists who have developed a consistent professional body of work.
Voice artists must also have completed at least two paid projects between September 2025 and August 2026. Eligible work may include television commercials, radio campaigns, interactive voice response recordings, website content, promotional work, documentaries, narration, animation, and other recognised forms of professional voice performance.
Only work aired or published during the official period from September 2025 to August 2026 will be accepted. Work completed outside this period should not be included in a 2026 submission.
What You Must Submit
Every audio clip or professional work sample must be supported by a signed accreditation letter or confirmation note. This document may come from the agent, representative, producer, or project stakeholder who can verify the artist’s involvement.
All supporting documents must be supplied in PDF format. Audio material must be submitted in MP3 or WAV format, while accepted video material must be provided in MP4 format.
Video submissions are intended for relevant television, animation, or documentary categories. Entrants should not submit unsupported video formats because these may not be accepted during the compliance review.
Audio clips must begin promptly. According to the official criteria, clips that only begin after an extended delay of between three and seven seconds may not be considered. Entrants should therefore remove unnecessary silence, countdowns, or unrelated audio from the beginning of each sample.
Every entrant must also provide a professional or high definition headshot or portrait. The image should be clear, current, and suitable for public use during announcements, nominations, awards promotion, and other official communication.
Entry Fees and Limits
The official entry fee is R999 per artist. This fee allows the artist to submit work in a maximum of three categories.
The entry package also includes one Presidential Ticket to attend the awards, one Front Row pass, and two tickets to the nomination announcement luncheon. Additional tickets may be charged at 70 percent of the listed rate.
A direct payment link will be sent to the entrant’s email address after the submission has been received. Entrants should ensure that their contact information is accurate so that they can receive payment instructions, compliance updates, and nomination announcements.
